We discussed with our neighbors the idea of putting in a small community garden. They have really run with the idea. A week or so ago I tilled up an area in one of the vacant lots across the street. Our neighbor Ron took the time to put up the fencing around it. Saturday morning they attached the sign they had made and their two boys had helped to paint. It might be hard to tell, but each letter is cut out and painted with a garden theme. Very cool. We hope to actually plant some seed this week.

Our Restore Community is going to do a neighborhood barbeque each month for our “Love Your Neighbor” activity. The neighbor boys came to that last night, and also some of the Stevensons’ neighbors. So by God’s grace we are being allowed to serve our communities in many different ways. Pretty exciting.
