Baptism was commanded by Jesus in the Great Commission, but why? What does baptism have to do with the gospel? Today we focus on Paul’s use of the imagery and meaning of baptism to explain the good news about grace in Romans 6.1-23. Our baptism is kind of an advance funeral, a participation in death, but in order to get on with life. True life. Baptism says, “God is at work here. Immerse yourself in it. And live.”
