1 Corinthians 15.1-11 gives one of the earliest confessional statements in the church, which Paul passed on to the Corinthian church he founded. It mentions many of the first witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, though not all of them. For Easter today we connect to the cloud of witnesses who testified of the resurrection of Jesus, which they saw with their own eyes. And we consider what we might learn from these earliest disciples about what it takes to be a witness to the resurrection of Jesus in our own day.
