Creating a healthy community often comes down to graciously helping others with their burdens. Bearing with one another isn’t smiling and pretending to like each other, just as forgiving one another isn’t the same as pretending not to be hurt. Bearing with one another and forgiving each other mean we assume hard circumstances, rough edges, and sharp words. But we commit to humbly walk along together, sharing the load as we make our way to peace. Our scriptures today are Ephesians 4.1-3 and 29-32, Colossians 3.12-15, and Romans 15.5-7.
