Happy Easter! We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus today, paying special attention to the account from the Gospel of John 20.1-31. Jesus’ resurrection means that new creation has begun, but in the midst of and overlapping with this old creation. God isn’t waiting to begin a new work, and neither should we! Even while we’re still shedding the old dead leaves of last season, the Holy Spirit is bringing to bloom new life. It is fragile but beautiful. It is incomplete, but it is the real beginning. Welcome to the first day of new creation. What is God doing in and around and through you? How will you participate in the newness that is blooming in your life?
