Years after God promised Abraham a son, Isaac was finally born. Abraham’s journey of faith was just beginning, though. God told Abraham to sacrifice his son–his only son–on an altar. So father and son walked three days to a mountaintop. Abraham built an altar and put Isaac bound upon it. Then he raised his knife. What does this story tell us about who God is?
