Everyone wants peace, but how can we actually secure peace? A famous line from an ancient Roman writer says, “If you want peace, prepare for war.” But Jesus lamented that the way of peace is so hidden from our eyes. Here in our second to last sermon in this series on Philippians, St. Paul shows us what it takes to find peace in our relationships, in our heart, and in our mind. If we want peace, we have to plan for it by practicing the disciplines that lead to peace like service, worship and thankful prayer. Today’s sermon is from Philippians 4.1-9.
